Manchester United's three debutants made an impression during the team's 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
United have recently been plagued by injuries and manager Sir Alex Ferguson is more than willing to throw his youngsters into fray - namely Fabio, Richard Eckersley and Zoran Tosic.
The trio put in a top-drawer performance for their Old Trafford bow. For an experienced campaigner such as Paul Scholes, he is more than happy to see Ferguson blooding new faces into the side.
"They did really well," Paul Scholes told MUTV.
"Fabio did really well and it's unfortunate that he picked up an injury. But then Eckersley came on and did really well. He's been out for three months with a knee injury, so to come straight into a first-team game is really good, and Zoran came on towards the end, dug in and defended for us really well."
Fabio, in particular, caught the eye of Ferguson, who was pleased with his display at left-back. Despite the Brazilian limping off with a calf strain, Ferguson was clearly delighted with the progress with the Da Silva brothers since they arrived in England. Fabio's twin brother, Rafael, has made 18 appearances in the first-team.
"The da Silva brothers have got great temperament to play," Sir Alex said of the duo.
"They've got a winning mentality. Like Rafael, Fabio loves playing and loves training, the enthusiasm is always there."
Even young keeper Ben Foster had words of encouragement for Fabio's debut.
"Confidence is something that those twins definitely aren't lacking!" he said.
"Since they arrived they have been absolutely fantastic. Fabio has been a bit unlucky with injuries, but he's definitely one for the future."
